We generally offer 2 rides per day, everyday except Sundays, when we have only the morning ride, to give the horses and the cowboys a much needed break. The trails range from grassy meadows to more challenging terrain. In lieu of a ride, we also offer arena games, such as pole-bending, barrel racing, cattle sorting, team penning, etc. Learn "how to" from the real cowboys. We discourage nose to tail riding, unless the terrain dictates. Guests’ safety is of utmost importance. Whether you are an experienced rider or a novice, we’ll make sure you and your horse are working well together before you hit the trails. Lessons are available for all ages and abilities. Lessons are $25 an hour, per person and must be arranged in advance. We require riders to wear pull-on cowboy boots—not lace-up boots—with at least 1.5-inch heels. We suggest you wear Western style hats with stampede strings or a riding helmet. Absolutely no lace up boots, tennis shoes or hiking boots can be worn for riding. A limited number of loaner boots and hats are available. We also recommend that you wear a long-sleeve shirt, denim jeans and leather gloves. Also, be sure to bring a sunscreen with a minimum of 30 SPF, due to the high altitude and Arizona sun. For guests who just want to kick back and relax, here are some other possibilities.
